On behalf of our client company, we are searching for a senior software engineer/software architect with a high level of experience in successfully developing embedded applications. The right candidate will be a developer with strong design and implementation skills.

You will be engaged in developing a wide range of embedded technologies. The successful software engineer will participate in the design, development and testing of various embedded technologies. Candidates will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and will participate in ensuring easy to manage deployments of our client’s embedded applications.

Responsibilities will include performing complex product design activities that may require extensive research and analysis.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Research and understand marketing requirements
• Determine the technologies for projects
• Develop design and architecture documents
• Develop and code key parts of the program
• Present technology to customers and partners
• Assist in the creation of the development process
• Design and manage project builds

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience developing in C/C++
• 4+ years experience in embedded systems development
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft technologies
• Independently able to design and develop software components
• Thorough technical knowledge in software development methodologies
• Thorough understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance
• Exhibit political savvy and ability to influence and articulate a vision
• A solid understanding of business/product strategy
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills and ability to drive the development process
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Great attitude and team oriented
• Experience with voice applications and/or wireless technologies a plus but not necessary
• B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field
