QA Lead / Software Test Engineer

We are seeking a QA Lead / Software Test Engineer for an exciting, small company in Bellevue.  Our client is working on next generation speech recognition and intent determination, with customers ranging from major automotive manufacturers to consumer electronics companies.  We are looking for a lead QA software test engineer to work on the QA team to deliver top quality products to customers. Products include in car entertainment, personal navigation devices, cell phone applications, and others. 

Some of the daily duties include:
 
•    Owning all QA aspects of multiple projects from end to end
•    Reading design specs and writing test plans (including resourcing/scheduling)
•    Understand all testing in detail and perform coverage reviews
•    Drive deadlines and deliveries for you and test engineers working with you
•    Analyzing test results and write/deliver reports
•    Running both manual and automated test cases
•    Filing/tracking/triaging defects for your projects
•    Ad-hoc testing
•    Automation script maintenance

As a QA Lead, you will be given multiple projects and expected to self manage and drive them to completion. Requirement: 

•    Top most requirement is proven experience in QA software testing, especially as a lead
•    Must be a self motivator and able to manage yourself and your work
•    Must be able to work in a team environment as well as on your own
•    Must be confident in scheduling and driving meetings
•    Being able to stay on top of, and champion issues to proper resolution
•    Wearing multiple hats
•    Well organized
•    Very detailed oriented
•    Great at tackling quickly changing technology and environment
•    One key, and highly desirable, skill is being fluent in English and one of the following; French, German,       Italian. This is a big advantage.
 
In addition, candidate should have excellent knowledge of the Windows OS and excellent general PC computing experience. Further, candidate must have a high drive for producing high quality work and advancing themselves. Experience with one or more of the following is a big bonus: Perl, C#, previous testing experience. Also very helpful is knowledge of XML, Linux, Windows Server, Canoo, Windows CE.
