Speech Recognition Grammar Architect/Software Engineer

We are searching for strong (expert) speech application and speech grammar engineers with multiple years of experience in developing voice-enabled products. The best fit would be a candidate who is proficient with speech technologies and has an equally high level of experience with commercially available large vocabulary speech recognition engines.

Responsibilities:

• Help determine the speech recognition grammars and techniques for products and projects
• Develop design and architect applications
• Develop and code key parts of the applications
• Present technology to customers and partners
• Research and understand marketing requirements

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of (at least one) phonetic alphabet
• Expert in developing voice enabled applications using commercially available large vocabulary speech recognition and embedded engines
• 2-15 years experience in C/C++ programming
• Strong mathematic algorithm skills a huge plus
• Experience programming in multi-platform environments a plus (embedded, Windows and Unix)
• Deep knowledge of speech recognition grammars and techniques
• Excellent team player, self-motivated, positive attitude
• Language skills are a plus
• BS, BA, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computational Linguistics or equivalent. Preference for MS or PhD.
