Software Engineer - Web Technologies

As an Agent Developer, you will code in HTML, XML, XSD, some C++ and also be using an application development tool environment (proprietary - they built and you can enhance).  This is an awesome role for someone who loves to learn new technologies and different technology.  You will create search agents that find and retrieve the information the user requests via voice search applications.

In this role you will:  Work closely with engineering and the content team to develop robust question/answer content for a cutting-edge conversational voice information retrieval and navigation system.  Candidate will help elicit input from internal employees, customers, and partners to design 'questions' that this voice information system can answer and will create the agent to retrieve the information.   Using these specifications, candidate will develop content using internal desktop tools.  Candidate will identify premium content providers, examine HTML and XML source formats, write and test regular expressions to extract required content from source, develop additional regular expressions for converting content into speak-able form, and generate text-to-speech responses that the user can understand.

Requirements:

• Hands-on development experience with HTML, XML, and WML (candidate must be able to open a text editor and write some markup on demand).
• Knowledge of regular expressions, Regex or XPath experience
• 1-2 years experience in web or software development, XHTML, XSD and CSS
• Programming experience with C++, MFC, Perl, PHP. C#, XML, Soap, HTML and ASP a plus
• Experience with software development methodologies
• Excellent Problem Solving Skills
• UI Design and Development a Plus
