The Regional Sales Manager will be a proven leader in a fast-paced, start-up sales environment. You will be driving revenue, developing and growing customer and partner relationships and actively leading a multi-vendor team of software professionals.
Candidates must have experience with SharePoint, SAP® and, preferably, interoperability between the two software technologies. Experience selling human capital management software also will be highly valued.
The winning candidate also will have excellent oral and written communications skills to articulate technology and product positioning to business decision makers, technical buyers and C-level executives in Fortune 500 enterprises.
Our client is designing its product strategy so that our customer engagements will last 2 - 5 years. As a result, the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and reporting our customers' issues and concerns to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of a multi-year sales process.
As a member of our client’s Sales and Business Development team, the Regional Sales Manager also will be expected to contribute to product and company strategy and messaging.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieving aggressive quotas and maximizing revenue using sales plans that will be integrated with our client’s go-to-market and product launch plans.
- Identifying, penetrating and closing enterprise sales opportunities in your assigned territory.
- Establishing working relationships with multiple field sales groups within Microsoft, SAP® and our client’s channel partners to support demand generation and sales cycle activities.
- Actively supporting Microsoft and SAP sales enablement activities including partner, sales and industry team revenue planning, account segmentation/targeting, solution promotion, and business development.
- Operating as a reliable "go-to resource" for Microsoft, SAP and channel partners in of support direct sales cycles to guide and advice on solution positioning and sales strategy.
- As part of sales and marketing support activities, providing product, solution and market intelligence.
- Maintaining prospect, pipeline and other documentation as required to track and measure sales success and quote achievement.
- Performing within budgetary targets.
- Assisting in the development of sales processes and performing within those guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Self-motivated with a proven track record in enterprise software sales and specific knowledge of SharePoint and SAP. Experience in the human capital management software is a big plus.
- Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a rapidly growing technology start-up with an expanding customer base.
- Must possess strong presentation skills and examples of be communicating professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting statements of work.
- Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
- Must be prepared for extensive travel.
- 5 - 10 + years relevant experience in start-up software vendor sales to large enterprises.
- Experience and familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and SAP
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is required.
